“Steeples and Steel” tours reflect the lives of European immigrants who settled in South Bethlehem in the late 1800s through the early 1900s and became steelworkers. They left their homelands in search of a better life in America, and their cultures and faiths enriched the town where they worked. These highly-acclaimed guided tours take visitors through the neighborhoods of South Bethlehem; ethnic churches built by the immigrant steelworkers; cemeteries; and the Bethlehem Steel plant site, including the Hoover-Mason Trestle. One church or cemetery is entered on each tour.
Includes “Steelworker overtime lunch” and $2 off admission coupon for NMIH.
9:30 AM / 1:00 PM tours.
