Synopsis: The year is 1999. Oscar is a strong-willed WWII Army combat veteran struggling with PTSD and rapid-onset dementia. As wartime memories overshadow his sense of reality, Oscar increasingly believes he is still an active-duty soldier in a never-ending war. Oscar’s wife, Lucy, is near the breaking point as she fights to keep what’s left of him from slipping into delusion. Lucy’s best friend, Agnes, a lonely woman desperate for love, has grown especially fond of Oscar.

“Twilight in the Park” will be performed in the upstairs theater. Staff and volunteers from Lehigh County Aging and Adult Services and Dementia Friendly Lehigh Valley will be in the lobby, when their duties permit, to speak with anyone interested in learning more about dementia and its effects on seniors and their families and friends.
