The multidisciplinary practitioners who form the core ofĀ Lehigh Universityās Department of Art, Architecture and DesignĀ share a common teaching philosophy centered on experiential learning and critical visual thinking. This philosophy is informed by their work outside the classroom as individual makers, theoreticians, and historians. LUAG is pleased to present an exhibition that brings together a cross-section of their diverse and expansive work.
Kick off the exhibition and celebrate our creative campus community at theĀ Opening Reception on Tuesday, February 4. Enjoy light refreshments; mingle with fellow art enthusiasts; take in live music performances by fiddler and vocalist Amy Forsyth and cellist Dan Kassel; and explore the unique creations of featured faculty members Anna Chupa, William Crow, Amy Forsyth, Hoāo Hee, Wes Heiss, Wes Hiatt, Jenny Kowalski, Kevin Lahoda, Maurizio Masi, Deirdre Murphy, Nik Nikolov, Alina Tenser, Jason Travers, and Christina Chi Zhang.
This event is free and open to all. Join us on February 4 to celebrate the visionary talent and creativity of Lehighās Department of Art, Architecture and Design.

The Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts Visual Arts Department proudly hosts its 2025 Black Excellence Exhibit featuring the work of professional artist, David Johns III, and curated by Berrisford Booth.Ā The exhibit will open with a FREE Reception on Friday, February 7th from 6-8 PM in the school’s Corpora Gallery.Ā This reception is in collaboration with the Southside Arts District’s First Friday celebration.Ā A Talk-Back with the artist and curator will take place at 6:30 PM.
The exhibition will be on display through the month of February. Private appointments to view can be arranged by calling 610-868-2971.
The visual arts program of study at Charter Arts provides a well-rounded, structured, and classical fine art education. Approached as an academic as well as artistic discipline, the sequence of courses inspire students to form connections across the curriculum. Students progressively build conceptual understanding as they work to advance skills in drawing, painting, sculpture, digital design concepts, photography, art history, and professional practices.Ā Over the course of study within the visual arts program, students develop a portfolio expressive of their active studio participation, work ethic, personal inquiry, passion for art, and dedication to skill advancement.
The department hosts both professional and student exhibitions in its Corpora Gallery throughout the school year.
