The Lehigh Valley Chorus is an award-winning women’s barbershop chorus from eastern Pennsylvania and western New Jersey, and proud members of Sweet Adelines International.
Join us to bid farewell to Really Free: The Radical Art of Nellie Mae Rowe before it heads to the California African American Museum, the next stop on its national tour! We’ll celebrate the culmination of LUAG’s Mobile ArtLab multi-week collaborative community project inspired by Rowe’s colorful and vibrant work. Dozens of community members contributed to the celebratory art installation that will decorate a portion of LUAG’s Upper Gallery, so be sure to come and see it for yourself!
Then take some time to explore the exhibition, participate in hands-on artmaking activities with local teaching artists Rei Ukon ’21 and Rebecca Kelly, sing along with the Lehigh Valley Queer Quoir, enjoy locally-made baked goods by From Lino, and listen to the soothing sounds of contemporary cellist Dan Kassel. This free, drop-in event is for all ages. All are welcome, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you.

Join LUAG intern, Emma Wright ’25, in exploring the depictions of female fashion within works of art.
Emma Wright is a second-year student from Bucks County, PA, majoring in Art History and minoring in Museum Studies. She was introduced to art appreciation at a very young age, stemming from her father who took her on countless visits to The Met. Emma is also part of the Alpha Gamma Delta sorority. In her free time she enjoys spending time with friends, reading, listening to music, learning about art history, and playing with her dog.
